This piece brings together several symbols that my client wanted to include in the project - discipline, purpose, and inner control. At the center is Apollo the god of light he represents the ability to rise above impulse and act with intention. On each side are symbols from the I Ching, representing humility / modesty which is a reminder that true strength does not need to announce itself. It stays grounded. Controlled. Quiet. And at the bottom, Mark 8:34 adds another personal meaning for Kyle. To me, this tattoo is about modesty, and at the same time clear power of good intention.
