Inker exists to bring the tattoo world together in one place. We are building a trusted platform where artists, studios, and clients can connect, collaborate, and create with confidence. Protecting your information and being transparent about how it is used is fundamental to that trust.

This Privacy Policy explains how Inker collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services.

Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect information such as email address, password, username, phone number, profile photo, bio, links, and social login details if you choose to sign in using a third party service.

User Generated Content

We collect content you create or share through the app, including posts, messages, profile information, bookings, and event attendance status.

Messages

Messages sent through Inker are processed and stored to provide messaging functionality and message history. Messages are not end to end encrypted.

Message content may be accessed by authorized personnel when necessary for technical operations, support, safety, or legal compliance.

Location Information

We collect precise location data when you enable location services to provide location based features such as discovery of artists, studios, and events. You may disable location access at any time through your device settings.

Event Activity

If you mark yourself as attending an event, that information may be visible to other users within the app.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by third party payment providers. We do not store full payment card details.

We may collect platform service fees and store limited transaction related information such as transaction identifiers, amounts, timestamps, payment status, and related booking information for recordkeeping, support, fraud prevention, and operational purposes.

Publicly Available Event Information

We display event information obtained from publicly available third party sources. Users may associate their profiles with these events.

Automated Processing and Moderation

User generated content such as posts may be processed by automated systems for safety, security, and abuse prevention. Automated moderation does not apply to private chat messages.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • operate and maintain the app

  • create and manage accounts

  • enable messaging, booking, and event features

  • process payments and transactions

  • personalize content and recommendations

  • improve performance and reliability

  • detect and prevent fraud and abuse

  • comply with legal obligations

How Information Is Shared

  • service providers supporting hosting, analytics, monitoring, and payments

  • app distribution platforms such as Apple App Store and Google Play

  • law enforcement or authorities when required by law

We do not sell personal information.

User Visibility and Sharing

Information visible to other users may include profile information, posts, messages sent to other users, and event attendance status. You control what you share through your settings and actions.

Account Deletion and Data Retention

You may delete your account directly within the app by navigating to your account settings and selecting the account deletion option.

Once you initiate deletion:

  • Access to your account will be disabled

  • Identifying login credentials associated with your account will be removed

  • Your public profile will no longer be visible

Other information, including posts, messages, bookings, transaction records, and related data, may be retained unless and until deletion or anonymization processes are implemented, or where retention is required for:

  • legal compliance

  • dispute resolution

  • fraud prevention

  • financial recordkeeping

  • legitimate operational purposes

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the data and applicable legal requirements.

Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No system is completely secure.

Children’s Privacy

Inker is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

International Data Transfers

Information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live. By using Inker, you consent to these transfers.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may exercise these rights by contacting us.
