Scarab for Hunter! 🪲 Thank you so much for choosing me to do this tattoo for you, I had such a blast finally getting to meet you! This project was particularly special for me because Hunter is married to my (favourite) highschool art teacher. Mr. Griscti’s faith in my ability to become a professional artist has always stuck with me, and I have always remembered and cherished how much support and encouragement he showed me when I was in his class. My identity as an artist has grown and evolved with me my entire life, and being Mr. Griscti’s student helped me see the value and potential in my work. I have always remembered him as the funniest, most authentic, expressive, and caring teacher I have ever had the honour being a student of. He was the first ever person to buy my artwork back in highschool (which makes him my first ever customer in my career as an artist!), and he still has it hanging in his home after all this time (12+ years!!) 🥹 (swipe to the end to see framed artwork).
