I’ve spent a lot of time talking about what’s happening to tattooing. About how someone can spend years learning their craft, getting better, putting in the work, and still struggle to get noticed because they don’t know how to make a fucking Reel. And I’m tired of pretending that’s just part of the job now. I’m not against social media. Hell, I’m using it right now. But I don’t believe a tattooer’s ability to entertain strangers should determine whether someone gets to see their work. And I sure as hell don’t think the solution is another platform ranking artists, selling attention, and turning tattooing into another popularity contest. So I decided to try something different. I built The Shop Door. Nothing revolutionary. Just an open sign, a map, artists showing their work, available flash, and a way for people to find the tattooer they actually want to work with. No rankings. No leaderboards. No buying your way to the top. I’m just a tattooer who thinks the work should still mean something. THE WEB VERSION IS LIVE NOW. COMING SOON TO iOS. If you’re a tattooer, you can get in now and reserve your artist name before the iOS launch. If you’re looking for a tattooer, come see who’s out there. The link is in my bio. And if you know a damn good tattooer who deserves more eyes on their work, send this to them. I’d genuinely like to see what they’re doing. Every tattoo has a story. Every story begins by opening the door. #TheShopDoor #TattooArtists #TattooCommunity #TattooCollectors #TattooApp
