This one came with a story. This client came to me after starting this back piece with another artist. Unfortunately, by the time he reached out, a lot of the linework had healed thick, scarred, uneven, and in several areas it had gone beyond what he originally asked for. He had specifically requested that the tattoo stay below his shirt line, but some of the work traveled up onto his neck. By the time we connected, he had already started laser removal on those areas. My job wasn’t to start with a clean canvas — it was to work with what was already there, clean up and correct as much of the existing linework as possible, and finally bring the piece together into something he could feel good about. Considering where we started, both of us are really happy with how it came together. The biggest takeaway: vet your artist. Look through healed work, ask questions, communicate exactly what you want, and pay attention to how you feel during the process. If something doesn’t feel right, trust that instinct. A tattoo is permanent, and you deserve to feel comfortable with the person putting it on you. Glad I was able to help this client finally get his back piece across the finish line. 🤘 #TattooTransformation #BackPieceTattoo #TattooFix #TattooRework #TattooArtist
