John Eric Basilio @basilioxtattoo is a Filipino tattoo artist based in Knoxville, Tennessee, recognized for his distinctive approach to color realism and Street Pop Art. His work combines realistic rendering, bold colors, graphic elements, and influences from street culture and pop art to create tattoos that feel energetic, expressive, and contemporary. While realism remains an important part of his foundation, he enjoys pushing beyond traditional realism by incorporating unexpected compositions, exaggerated details, and strong visual contrasts. His Street Pop Art style continues to evolve as he experiments with new ideas and techniques while maintaining the level of detail and craftsmanship that defines his work. As an all-around tattoo artist, he also enjoys creating pieces across different styles, allowing each tattoo to become an opportunity to explore something new. For John Eric, the goal is to create artwork that not only looks striking on the skin but also carries a sense of personality, movement, and individuality.
