I wanted to make this reel to show that no matter how prepared, how organized, how “ready” you are, sometimes it doesn’t go as planned. In which case, you need to make some on the fly decisions to make sure you get the best result possible. And well… playing with inks & needles can get quite messy. As you see here I had to make some adjustments in the middle of the tattoo. - Needing a new stencil because the size wasn’t big enough. - Adding a few more colors to get the right blends. - Adding some brown into my skin color to make sure I get the right shade for the clients skin. - Grabbing a different needle grouping because it wasn’t exactly what I needed. - Drawing on new shading lines, since the stencil rubbed off a bit. Being a good tattoo artist isn’t just about ability, technical skill, creativity, and knowledge. But, also being able to solve problems on the fly. Everyones skin is different, everyones pain tolerance is different, and each area of the body is vastly different. Being able to know the differences and work around them is one of the most fun parts of the job. • • • #tattoos #tattooist #tattooworkers #tattooartists #tattooedlife
