I’ve always believed the space you create in has an effect on what you create. Obscura Ink is tucked away in RiNo, Denver, and I wanted it to feel like an extension of me as an artist. There’s color, paintings, strange little details, artwork I’m drawn to, and inspiration pretty much everywhere you look. I spend a lot of my life creating here, so being surrounded by things that make me think, give me ideas, or just feel like me matters. Especially when so much of my work starts with taking a client’s idea and figuring out how to turn it into something completely their own. I also think about what it feels like to be on the other side of the chair. Some of our appointments are long, and I want you to walk in, get comfortable, look around, ask questions, and feel like you’re in a space where you can actually settle in for the day.
