There are moments in this career that remind you exactly why you fell in love with tattooing… today was one of them. I had the incredible honor of meeting one of the true legends of tattooing, @gtc_tattooman . Huge thank you to my good friend Adam from Business @m.a.g.4u for making that introduction—and for introducing me to @nikkohurtado as well. To top it all off, Adam asked me to sign my name on a poster alongside artists like Niko Hurtado, Good Time Charlie, and so many other respected names in our industry. That was a surreal and humbling moment I’ll never forget. Charlie and I talked for a bit, and I shared my story about having a stroke. I told him I never realized how important my left hand was—even though it’s not the hand I tattoo with—until I lost so much function. Recovering meant adapting and, in many ways, learning how to tattoo all over again. He listened, shared a story about another artist who was determined enough to learn to create with their non-dominant hand, and then he smiled and said something I’ll carry with me forever: “I hope you live to tattoo until you’re my age.” That meant the world to me. I wish my brother Dorian @tattsbyd had been there. He’s always teaching me about the legends who built this industry, and I know he would’ve appreciated every second of today. I’m beyond grateful—for my recovery, for this career, for the friendships I’ve made, and for moments like these that remind me how lucky I am to be part of the tattoo community. Thank you, Adam. Thank you, Charlie. I’ll never forget today. ❤️🤘
